Vision
“IN HILLSDALE AS IT IS IN HEAVEN”
“Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:9-10
During our preparatory intercession, three major themes have emerged: seeking the face of God, a revelation of the fear of God, and asking for a manifestation of His presence and glory on our campus.
We want to invite the living God to inhabit and transform our hearts and our campus.
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”
Proverbs 9:10
“And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord.”
Jeremiah 31:34
In short, 24HoP is a space dedicated to gathering in one accord and one place as a student body to seek after God. It is a statement of invitation for His presence to come and dwell among us.

Pray
“So, could you not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
Matthew 26:40-41
As our time of prayer intersects with Jesus Christ’s vigil in the Garden of Gethsemane, we remember the ultimate benchmark with which He challenges us: to watch and pray with Him for one hour.
Our goal is to have 2 or more people praying every hour of the 24-hour period.
Praying for a full hour is a considerable effort, so prayer guides will be provided to help you direct your time.
You are welcome to contribute to as many prayer slots as you want. If all the slots for a particular hour are taken, just come anyway!
While the above prayer structure emphasizes dedicated intercession, 24 Hours of Prayer is an open day of prayer to seek after God. All are welcome to attend 24HoP for any amount of time.
If you want to join us in prayer or worship but can’t commit to a full hour, just drop by at any time during chapel hours.
Email coordination for protocol and chapel access will follow for those signed up for hour prayer slots.
WORSHIP
We invite musicians to provide worship music throughout the event. If you would like to provide worship music during a time slot, contact Ethan Graham at egraham@hillsdale.edu.
All-Campus Worship Service
Mark your calendar for the conclusion of 24 Hours of Prayer on March 29 at 8:00 PM for an all-campus worship service. As we remember our High King’s ultimate victory on the cross, we will declare a fresh invitation for God’s presence to rest in Hillsdale’s campus and ask for an outpouring of His Spirit among us.

There is a community Good Friday service in Christ Chapel between 11AM-1PM on Friday, March 29. 24HoP will move into the day chapel for this period.
We kindly ask that those signed up between 11AM-1PM continue to pray toward 24HoP. If you would like to attend the community Good Friday service, you are more than welcome to do so; please choose a different time slot to contribute to 24HoP.
